Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico, was born to a music-loving family. She grew up listening mostly to classical music, old boleros as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of Tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. Ana began to learn how to play the piano and sing from an early age, along with her mother. She received more formal singing instruction at the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. In 2000, she relocated to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007 she moved to her new home in Southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. Alongside being a local performer and instructor and instructor, her passion for art and music has her involved in a range of different projects. Ana has also been previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, by sharing her knowledge songs from Latin American traditional songs, to bring about a desire, specifically in the younger generations to keep this tradition in the present.
