Rosalia
Rosalia Vila aka Rosalia is an Spanish Flamenco/Pop performer. As a teenager she was involved in both the traditional and popular music. But, her singing interests have broadened to include hip-hop and soul. Her voice has been described by no less an artist than the Flamenco guitar player Pepe Habichuela as sharp and sweet but with a bite like the old ones. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her the Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist her 2018 follow-up El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough that topped the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and ultimately getting a Grammy. The single La Fama featuring the Weeknd appeared in 2021. Motomami was her third full-length album. It included collaborations on songwriting with other artists and producers, including Cory Henry. The set was launched following Saturday Night Live's show Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia is the first Spanish artist to appear in a solo performance on the show. As well as winning three additional Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia was also the first woman to win this award twice. Latin Album of the Year twice.
