Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September. 21, 1983) is a well-known American actor. Most notably, she was the character Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV show as well as Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington from Ohio dropped out of high school, and relocating to Los Angeles after her divorced parents. Although she was struggling financially, her 2001 debut was in the role of Rachel's Room's principal character. In 2002, she was awarded a Young Artist Award in 2002 due to her role in Murder on the streets of Greenwich of 15 year young Martha Moxley as a murder victim, Grace was able to win. Grace Rutherford, the character she played in Lost from 2004 until 2005 was selected for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace left the show in order to focus on her acting career. She reprised her role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the lead role Alice in Malice in Wonderland a modern take on Lewis Carroll's novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played Shannon's part in Lost for two more episodes. This included the final episode of the series. In 2013, Grace appears in Californianation, the 6th Season. She plays Faith as the muse and fan of the stars. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. As a member of the Gyllenhaal family she is the daughter of film makers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and the older sister of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was in her teens She appeared in small roles in her father's movies and was co-starring with her twin brother on Donnie Darko which is a popular cult movie. She then appeared in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received acclaim from critics for her leading performances in the romantic erotic comedy Secretary (2002) and in the dramatic Sherrybaby (2006) both of which resulted in a Golden Globe Award nomination. In the wake of several successful commercial films in 2006, including World Trade Center she received more attention for her role as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). Following her acclaimed performance as a mother who is not married in Crazy Heart (2009), she earned the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. After that, she went on to star in comedies along with dramas, such as Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011), and Won't Back Down (12). Apart from her character as an agent of the Secret Service agent, she has also appeared as a character in White House Down (2013) and Frank (2014). The latest roles included her character as the primary protagonist of the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal began her professional career as screenwriter and director in 2021, when she directed and wrote The Lost Daughter, a psychological drama. The Lost Daughter. The film was awarded Best Screenplay at the Venice International Film Festival, and it was nominated by the Academy Award.
